This solution is a micro-power isolated flyback converter. By directly sampling the isolated output voltage from the primary-side flyback waveform, the device does not require a third winding or opto-isolator for adjustment. The output voltage can be programmed through an external resistor. In addition, the internal race and soft start further reduce the number of external components. The input voltage range of the controller is 3.0V to 48V, and can provide up to 7W of isolated output power. The primary side can provide 1.4A peak current through the internal integrated 75V N-channel DMOS power switch. The boundary mode, discontinuous mode and burst mode are designed under different loads to improve load regulation and maintain high efficiency while minimizing the output voltage ripple. The IC is packaged in SOT23-5. High integration makes it easy to use, low component count and high efficiency application solutions can be used for isolated power transmission.
